ADD MORE DISTANCE
The driver gives you the ability to either hit the green in regulation or get very close which seemingly takes the pressure off other aspects of your game. Many players become negative with the driver but it's a club that will make your round easier.

DON'T BE A HERO
After hundreds of hours of on-course coaching I have seen the wrong club used from the rough every lesson. Trying to hit the 'hero' shot into the green may come off 1 in 50 times but the other 49 times can lead to double bogey or worse. Take your medicine, play smart and you'll be more consistent

STRIKING YOUR FAIRWAY WOODS
This is one of the hardest clubs in the golf bag to use consistently well. I tell all my students to focus on strike not direction. We aren't expecting to hit the green with a. 3 or 5 wood but we do want to be close to it

1 CHIP EVERY TIME
Choose your club selection wisely. Don't chase the perfect shot. Instead try to focus on hitting the green within 2 putt range. Often reducing the pressure and improving technique will lead to chips shots with an overall closer proximity to the hole

STOP 3 PUTTS
The most used club in the golf bag. The shortest and slowest swing. But why is it so difficult? Matt Fryer talks you through a routine that every player from tour pro to beginner should do.
